The two-volume edition is a logical continuation of the author’s series of articles on the uniform of the Prussian army, published in Russian magazines “Old Zeughaus”, “Sergeant” and “Emperor” in 2008-2016. The book deals with Prussian cavalry of the 1808-1840 period: the history of units, uniforms, equipment and armament. The first volume considers cuirassier and dragon regiments, horse artillery and gendarmerie units. The book is richly illustrated by several hundred original engravings, lithographs and paintings, depicting the ranks of the Prussian cavalry, portraits of officers and other ranks. This book will serve as a necessary reference for anyone who is engaged in military history and uniform of the first half of the XIC century: collectors, museum workers, reenactors, fans of historical miniatures and simply enthusiasts.
